Laser Cutting & Engraving - How it Works
Step 1: Prepare Your Laser Files
Ideally we need vector files, prepared following our guidelines. Or send what you have to help us understand your project. If you need help, just let us know and we can give advice or quote drawing work and preparation if needed.
Step 2: Submit Your Files Online
Use our handy online submission tool to send us your files and describe your project. You will be asked to specify the type of service you require, materials you will be using, and any other relevant information.
Step 3: Quickly Receive a Quote
Our team will review your project and use our laser estimation software to calculate how many minutes your laser cutting project will use. You will receive a quote with options to match your budget and turnaround needs.
Step 4: Voila! We Make your Project
Once you have confirmed your project quote, we will book your project in for production. Your project will be ready for pick-up at an agreed upon day and time. Or, if you prefer, ask about our courier and shipping services.
Laser cutting and engraving is charged based on the amount of time (minutes) a project will use, material costs (if we are supplying), and any drawing / file amendment work that may be needed. See the pricing options chart at the bottom of the page.

Pay-As-You-Go
Using Pay-As-You-Go means that you pay only for the laser cutting associated with a given project. Our P-A-Y-G rate is $2 per minute, and there is a minimum charge of 30 minutes per order, when using P-A-Y-G.
FABpass
A FABpass is a package of laser minutes which can be used over the course of a specified period of time at our lab. The larger the FABpass, the more economical the minutes work out to be! Perfect for frequent fabricators.
